Exercising and Workouts

Postby brothersean on Wed Jan 16, 2008 8:12 am

I know this might be a topic that would be boring to some, but I think some people may be interested in what works and what doesn't for us. I've been trying to figure out the best way to lose the gut I've gained since I've been in Atlanta.

Ideas?

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last June. Started biking and swimming as the main forms of exercise, though evening walks with my wife work as well. The main thing is to get the body moving at least 30 minutes a day. It also helped that I had to cut all the sugar out of my life. Not terribly fun, but that works, too.

Volunteer to help with the ward's troop. It's almost time for Scout camp. Lots of hiking opportunities. And keeping up with teenagers help burn it off, too.
